Fall 2024: When Do I Move in?

August 10 | 1pm to 4pm | Fall Varsity Student Athlete Move-In

August 13 | 1pm to 4pm | Student Life Student Leaders Move-In
August 16 to 19 | New International Student Move-In (coordinated with the International Student Services Office)
August 20 | 9am to 2pm | NISO- New/Transfer International Student Orientation
August 21 | 9:30am to 2:30pm | Freshmen Move-In (Thrive)
August 24 | 9am to 11am | Transfer Student Move-In
August 24 | 11am to 3pm | Returning Student Move-In

*Please note that there is a Mandatory Residence Life Meeting and Opening Celebration on August 26th at 7PM

Freshmen

  • Fall In-Season Athletes | August 10听触 1pm to 4pm 鈥 If you are an in-season varsity fall athlete you will be moving in on August 9th from 1pm to 4pm. Your coach may provide you with further details.
  • International Freshmen | August 16 to 19 鈥 If you are a new international student, you will have a new international student orientation on August 20.聽 Look for an email from the Director of International Services (Mrs. Mabia Shadel) with an electronic form to communication your arrival information.
  • NISO 触听August 20触听9am to 2pm聽鈥 Mandatory Orientation for New/Transfer International Student
  • Thrive Program | August 21听触 9:30am to 2:30pm 鈥 If you are an incoming freshman who does not need to come to campus early for fall athletics, you will move in on this date! Thrive will begin in the afternoon, so plan accordingly. Want to learn more about Thrive? Follow this link.

Transfers

  • Transfer Fall In-Season Athletes听触聽August 10听触聽1pm to 4pm 鈥 If you are an in-season varsity fall athlete you will be moving in on August 9th from 1pm to 4pm. Your coach may provide you with further details.
  • International Transfers | August 16 to 19 | If you are a new international student transferring to 黄色短视频, you will have an additional, new international student orientation on August 20.聽 Look for an email from the Director of International Services (Mrs. Mabia Shadel) with an electronic form to communication your arrival information.
  • NISO 触听August 20触听9am to 2pm聽鈥 Mandatory Orientation for New/Transfer International Student
  • Transfer Student Move-In | August 24 | 9am to 11am聽 If you are an incoming transfer who does not need to come to campus early for fall athletics, you will move in on this date! Transfer orientation will begin in the late morning, so plan accordingly.

Returning Students

  • Fall In-Season Athletes | August 10 | 1pm to 4pm 鈥 If you are an in season fall athlete you will be moving in on August 9th from 1pm to 4pm. Be on the lookout for an email updates from your coach.
  • Returning Students | August 24 | 11 am to 3pm 鈥If you are a returning student (sophomores, juniors, seniors), you will be able to move-in on August 26th from 11am to 3pm. After 3pm, you will have the opportunity to pick up your key from 7pm to 7:30pm from your RA before the mandatory Residence Life meeting. If you need to move in early due to extenuating circumstances, please complete to request approval. There will be a $15/night rent fee to move on campus early.

Before Arriving on Campus

  1. Complete your 鈥淪tudent Life Forms鈥 on your Once each form is complete, it will turn green on your student portal. All forms must be completed for you to move-in to the Residence Halls.
  2. Complete the 鈥淢y Health鈥 section on your
  3. Register your vehicle. To find more information on how to register your vehicle, follow this link.
  4. Send family and friends your new address: 6601 W College Dr Palos Heights IL 60463. You do not need a mailbox number to receive mail at the college. When a package arrives under your name, you will be notified via your 黄色短视频 email to pick it up.
  5. Register for classes (first-time freshmen/transfers 鈥 admissions will help you through this process). As we get closer to the semester starting, check out to see what books you need for your classes!

On Move-In Day

  • Park your vehicle in the parking lot nearest your residence hall. Not sure which parking lot is closest? Look at this to determine which parking lot is nearest your residence hall.
  • Once you arrive follow the signs to Tab Lawn to check-in and receive your room key. Tab Lawn is located between the dining hall and the Residence Halls.
  • Shopping Carts will be available to help you unload your belongings. If you are a first year or transfer student, you will be assisted by student leaders in the moving process!

What to Bring

Each Residence Hall suite includes the following:

  1. A twin-sized bed and mattress.
  2. A desk, bookshelf, and chair.
  3. Closet space and dresser.

The Residence Hall furniture is stackable and able to be arranged in different . Once you know who you will be living with, you will be able to begin to dream up the configuration of your Residence Hall space to make it your own!
